Support the Needs of Seniors at Nikkei Place!
Join Nikkei Place Foundation and Nikkei Seniors Health Care and Housing Society’s INSPIRE ACTION fundraising campaign, beginning this spring. Help us raise much-needed funds for the care of seniors at Nimi Nikkei Home, and the reboot of our community outreach programming into a virtual and accessible format for seniors. As the Covid-19 pandemic continues, we need your support to adapt to the changing needs of our community.
During our INSPIRE ACTION campaign, be inspired by the stories we share of community members, staff, volunteers, and families who are enhancing the lives of our seniors through compassion, care, and respect.

Your support funds for a new specialized spa tub and bathing facility renovation
This will provide a warm and inviting space for residents who cannot use their regular bathtub, and allow care staff to safely assist those who need help with bathing. This system incorporates tilting, sound and light.
TECH
Your support funds Amazon Echo Show 8 tech equipment to run virtual programs
These devices can be pre-programmed to allow staff to ‘drop-in’ on participants. To begin the activity, seniors and their family member/caregiver will simply need to start by saying ‘hello’!
REBOOT
Your support funds reimagined virtual programming to engage residents with seniors in the broader community
Help us run reimagined versions of the programs we had prior to the pandemic. We can engage seniors in new ways and to begin to eliminate isolation and loneliness.
