Business professionals, community leaders, and philanthropists come together in support of Nikkei Place Foundation's Feels Like Home campaign

Nikkei Place Foundation proudly held the 3rd Annual Sakura Gala at the Pan Pacific Hotel on March 16, 2017 in support of the Feels Like Home campaign. The event was hosted by Global News BC’s Yvonne Schalle with inspirational words throughout the evening by Doug Allen, the Honourable David Emerson, George Iwama, Paul Kariya, and a heartfelt keynote speech from UBC President Santa Ono. At this year’s dinner, we honoured Henry Wakabayashi, for his leadership and dedication to the Japanese Canadian community, with the Thomas Shoyama Lifetime Achievement Award. Henry has dedicated over 50 years to developing and improving some of BC's most important and largest private and public sector infrastructure projects.

We are grateful for the generosity of the Gala attendees, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and businesses who made this event a success. Thank you to everyone for their generous and continued support!
