On Friday, May 25th, 2018 at Burnaby’s Riverway Golf Course, we hosted our 13th Annual NPF Charity Golf Tournament + Fundraiser benefiting Nikkei Seniors Health Care & Housing Society! Thanks to our many supporters, we had our best year yet — and were able to sell out for the 3rd consecutive year!
We raised $70,000 in net proceeds for dementia-friendly programs and awareness!
This wasn’t just a golf tournament – it was about making a better world one person at a time. The 2018 Golf Committee greatly appreciates all our supporters for helping to meet the needs of seniors living with dementia. We can’t thank you enough for your overwhelming generosity! Our success would not be possible without our sponsors, donors, golfers, and volunteers! Your support ensures Nikkei Seniors Health Care & Housing Society can continue to provide dementia-friendly social and exercise programs, educational talks and volunteer training to the community of Burnaby.
We especially want to thank Mayor Derrick Corrigan, Guyle Clarke, Chad Turpin and James Lota from the City of Burnaby for making the time to golf with us this year and support our cause!
In addition, we would also like to thank our outstanding emcee, Global meteorologist Yvonne Schalle, for running the evenings events so smoothly, and former Canadian tour pro, Darren Wallace, for hitting monster drives at the 9th hole.
This year, we were also happy to welcome the Alzheimer Society of BC and Titleist to our tournament.
We would not be nearly as successful without the generosity from our sponsors. Thank you to our Executive Sponsors (Bosa Properties, and Leon Judah Blackmore Foundation) and our Premium Sponsors (Fujiya, the Keg Steakhouse + Bar, ONNI Group, and Axiom Builders) for their support!
